Impact Fashion Global Action Network (IFGAN)

“Where empowering culture, transforming Indigenous economies, reshaping fashion meets global change.”

Mission Statement
The IFGAN Team, believes fashion is more than an industry—it is a powerful tool for cultural empowerment, economic justice, and systemic transformation. Our mission is to champion Indigenous knowledge, crafts, and creativity as the foundation of resilient economies while dismantling waste colonialism and unsustainable practices. By linking the Global North and Global South through research, advocacy, and action, we seek to create a new paradigm for fashion that values transparency, equity, and sustainability.

Through partnerships with governments, communities, and global institutions, IFGAN transforms cultural heritage into economic strength, ensuring that fashion’s future is ethical, inclusive, and globally just.

Vision Statement
We envision a world where fashion uplifts rather than exploits, where Indigenous economies thrive alongside global innovation, and where cultural heritage is recognized as a cornerstone of sustainable development. Our vision is to establish a truly equitable global fashion system—one that dismantles waste colonialism, bridges the Global North and South, and transforms textiles, crafts, and design into forces for planetary resilience and social justice.
